About Dr. Raina

Dr. Ahsan Raina, DMD

Dr. Raina received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and graduated Cum Laude from NC State University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, followed by an Advanced General Practice Residency at the University of Iowa. Currently he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UTHealth School of Dentistry. Dr. Raina chose a career in dentistry because it’s the perfect mixture of art and engineering. As a dentist, he enjoys helping patients see life-changing results immediately.

He also enjoys continuing his education and working to increase his skills.

Advanced training in oral sedation, oral surgery including extractions, crowns, veneers, removable dentures, and Invisalign
Board certified for oral sedation and laughing gas
Cosmetic dentist with Invisalign certification from Aligntech Institute
Implant training with the renowned Dr. Lastimado at the Institution of Dental Advancement by Hiossen
Completed over three times the state requirement for continuing education courses for the quality and safety of his patients

Dr. Raina is proud to have helped create SnowDay, an annual community event geared towards promoting healthy behavior in children through education and games. He was also the recipient of a community service award for the Give Kids a Smile Foundation.

Dr. Raina and his wife both grew up in North Carolina. They moved to Spring seven years ago and are proud to set down roots and call Texas home. In his free time, Dr. Raina enjoys going to the gym, binging on Netflix shows, volunteering for Give Kids a Smile, spending time with family and teaching at the UTHealth Dental school as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.

Do you have any pets? We have one cat and her name is Cocoa. She’s a real big cuddler!
What is your favorite sports team? Carolina Panthers.
What is your favorite food? Thai food, hands down. That Thai Basil is too good!

I went in for a root canal and it was such a great experience. Stephanie, my dental assistant was incredible and thoughtful and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I had a root canal years ago but I’d never had anyone apply chapstick so my lips wouldn’t get too dry. This was very helpful and thoughtful and made an impression on me. Dr. Dang, what can I say? He knocked it out of the park again! I felt no pain! ( I'm a baby when it comes to the dentist 😂). I almost fell asleep 😴 so that says a lot. 😊 I have a treatment plan thats already been worked up and I plan on coming here for all of it. The front office staff are very nice, pleasant and patient making sure you understand everything regarding payment, and next appointments. Again, it was a wonderful experience and I will be back.
